The Pit Stop Challenge is one of the most requested products in our motorsport activation portfolio. It works because it delivers real race-day pressure, live timing and genuine competition, in a format audiences compete hard in. But in its full physical form, it demands significant space, physical exertion and a certain threshold of ability, and so we identified a gap.
That gap was never just an observation. For us, it was the brief: design a version of the Pit Stop Challenge that keeps the same pressure and rivalry, but opens the line up to a wider field of competitors. That brief became the Mini Pit Stop.
We took the question to our innovation lab: how do you deliver the same race-day pressure and head-to-head rivalry, without the physical barriers that limit who can step up to the line? The answer wasn't to simplify the experience. It was to redesign it from the ground up.
We removed the full-size car entirely, which opened the canvas to reimagine the format, scale and audience while keeping everything that makes the Pit Stop Challenge what it is. Our existing digital pit stop software formed the backbone of the new format.
Every component from there was purpose-built: scaled, authentic Pirelli wind tunnel tyres, custom spindles, nuts and wheel stands, and impact guns tested for a torque profile that feels real but is light enough for a ten-year-old to use with confidence. One question drove every decision: does this let more people in without letting the experience down?
The Mini Pit Stop is now a fully realised product in the Events House portfolio, sitting alongside, not instead of, the Pit Stop Challenge family.
Where the Full and Half Car formats deliver the real thing for audiences after the full weight of a live pit lane, the Mini Pit Stop opens that same experience to a younger audience, a corporate setting and wheelchair users alike.
Same race-day pressure. Same live timing. Same competition. Just a format that lets everyone in.
